Claudia Carawan: Introduction to Garageband for iMac or MacBook users (not IOS)

Garageband is a fully equipped music creation studio inside your Mac —with a complete sound library that includes instruments, presets for voice and guitar and an incredible selection of drummers and percussionists.   It is a great tool for music makers, (songwriters, recording artists, teachers and music/choir directors) which enables the user to make quality recordings quickly with ease and affordability.

This 90-minute class will give you the basics to start making quality recordings at home on your Mac.  You will learn the basics of recording, editing and mixing a song —then save it in a variety of formats (MP3, WAV) etc. for sharing with others.

In addition, free Garageband tutorial videos will be shared with attendees —a great resource to help students dive deeper and take skills to the next level.

After the class one-on-one follow up lessons are also a possibility.
